You may add up to 3 additional people to your session.

You may halve your session=30 minutes for $80

**After 60 minutes, it is $40/15 minutes.  I will let you know when your scheduled hour is up and you can opt to go longer.**  Payment via Venmo (Judith-Shelton-1) or Zelle.  Please include an email so that we can communicate about a day and time.

I taught standup in Atwater Village for 10+ years, and am currently in my 8th year teaching at USC.  I pour all that experience into my work and this class.  You will "get up" twice each class, developing material you feel excited about.  It will be authentic and new, and totally you.  We will discuss various joke styles/comedians, prompts and challenges, open mic etiquette, and next steps.  We do this together, in a supportive environment, giving and receiving useful feedback, striving and laughing.  You will leave with a better understanding of your comedic voice and creative intention, plus oodles of material! 

I am a faculty member at USC, teaching stand up and improv classes in the School of Dramatic Arts.  I continue to grow as a teacher and a comic.  I do not teach formulas, exactly. I prefer to ask questions, give prompts, get you up over and over so you can discover and tell me what kind of comic you are, not the other way around. I want to help you be you, to tell the truth, to make a connection.  I want to help you create something new. 

This is my joy.  I don't believe you have to do this alone.  I prefer creating comedy together, in a community.  I've worked with over 1,800 students now, each group is vibrant and complex, and it's always fun, every single time!
